 Eagle Mountain guide report 07/12/13

Me and LipRip went scouting thursday . Fish hard to find and going 100 mph. Real worried about todays's trip with Curtis Weller and his buddies Araon and Travis. Started out with a few surfacing fish mostly dinks.I am spouting off how EM is not a good lake for surfacing fish, which it isn't. They come up in 30 to 38 ft water in the middle of the river channel. Acres of fish and they blow up from 8:00 till 12:30 and were still up at 12:30 when we burned up and had to leave. Caught 202 and probally lost 50 at side of boat. Fish caught on a tail spinner I make and ole uglies slabs and flies burned across the top.
So after fishing EM for 50 years have never seen surfacing fish on EM stay up that long.

They were everywhere! What a difference one day can make. It was a good day on the mountain. Acres and acres of fat smile makers. Lots of big fish in the schools. I don't believe those NTSU boys had ever seen anything like that crazy display of flying fish. Looks like lasting memories were made!

There is a new ramp where the old twin points resort was at.south end of lake brand new 10.00 to lanch.
