RDZ and I survived the 2012 Lake Lavon NTTC tournament in his FM165. Anyone that was there can testify how much that sucked. His boat has the same 50 carb 2-stroke as mine, and his boat handles well. This boat is about 300# heavier than his boat due to various upgrades.
I have put in some emails but haven't heard anything yet. I know I just do not want to drop a lot of money into it.

There is an FM165 Pro sitting outside of Cabela's in Allen right now. Sweet looking boat!!

I should rephrase my earlier statement. My wife doesn't want me to spend a bunch of money.

The bad news is my 2009 Lowe Stinger got a hull crack on one of the welds that holds a stringer in place. What's worse...it happened two days after I made my last payment! I was extremely mad that I had experienced yet another hull failure.  This is extremely frustrating because I had experienced 4 hull failures with my 2006 Stinger before Lowe replaced the hull. It was exasperating to experience another hull defect.  The good news is Lowe has agreed to send me a new FM165 Pro!  I asked for a deep-v model because I believe it will be less likely to experience a hull failure. I know there are several guys that catfish out of them. I am still working out a few details and no telling how long it will take to get here, but everything is looking good so far. When I get the boat I am going to outfit it with new bee-ready's all around. Friends of mine had 19' Lowe singer, Cracked in three places. They bought it back too.

The government really screwed things up by banning carb 2 strokes. There should have been a <100 HP exemption at least. The free market would have better sorted things out. The nine scariest words in the English language

I look forward to hearing about your FM165... I am considering that boat. I have heard many good things. may even have to offer you a good lunch and some drinks to go fishing in it to get a feel for it.

James and I had to dip our reels in the lake to unfreeze them. I have a feeling that is just kind of like Aggieland. It is a story that can never be told.

I usually have an open seat. The only people that ever want to fish with me is James RDZ and my two kids. James is too busy being an international playboy and one can only take so many fishing trips with a 4 year old and a 2 year old before they drive me crazy.

They told me last Friday that my replacement boat would ship on Tuesday...it did not ship.
