I think GreaseBath is his neighbor maybe he can chime in. Mike does shoot awesome videos. Hope he is doing well on the water somewhere.

Mike is alive and well, he has some things on his heart and mind that are more important than fishing and making videos right now. I think everyone should send him a shout out and show him he is missed by the community, I'm sure he would like that

Mike's been away taking care of some family. He's back now and maybe even getting a chance to break in his new Kilroy. I'm sure we'll all be enjoying his great fishing stories again soon. I miss his video reports too.

He's doing better but still has a lot to deal with so keep him in your thoughts & prayers, but he did catch two +20" LMB on his fly rod a few day ago and was all grins & giggles.
He is planning more videos in the future.
 I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

Thanks for the concern guys. Ill just say my Dad in Alabama is not doing well. He and I were pretty close, so much so that he was my best man at my wedding 29 years ago. I have been making trips to Alabama and back as often as I can to see him and help my Mom. If Im not on the road, then Im working OT to bank time for the next trip out.
I have been able to get out and fish with a few good friends to get some stress relief. I really havent had the time to look at the forum much or work on videos. My fishing right now is a way to wind down and drop some stress and get my mind off things for a while. Kayak fishing is really helpful in easing my pain. Sitting in a kayak early in the morning with the calm sounds of nature are a wonderful way to reflect on things. I have found my self just dead sticking and dreaming then wham a big fish brings me back to the real world.

Thanks for the update and glad to hear that you are getting some time to re-charge during all of this.
I know how it is as I went through something similar with my Dad. I too was lucky in that I was in grad school at the time and finished with my coursework so I could spend more time with him and helping my Mom.
Hope you know that you and your family have been and continue to be in the prayers of many of us around here.
This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever.  I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing

My thoughts and prayers are with him whitacre. Glad you are able to "escape" to the kayak from time to time. It's the absolute best way I have found to clear my head temporarily too.
