Got the kayak for $400. No leaks but had a plastic weld job above water line. Yak is in good condition and after talking to my dad, he says " don't worry about the weld", he has a plastic welder if anything goes wrong. (My dad builds yaks and has two fiberglass molds). Is $400 decent w rod holders and seat in good condition? I felt bad buying a repaired yak but my old man makes it sound like it's nothing. I also contacted ok for spair plastic just incase of an issue and they are shipping it my way... Awesome ccustomer service. What do you guys think? I have been looking for deals on drifter, the glide and prowler/trident and the best deal I found was $500.

I'm bad, I am also picking up a drifter angler this weekend in San Antonio. I found one that's only been used a few times w all the goodies that's affordable. Not $250 but not a whole lot more. $250 is a steal, u can't buy a sorry pelican for that. U got a great deal

Sounds like a good deal piepuncher - the prowler is a proven design.

Ran across this the other day - FYI:

Yea it was 100% luck and timing, in the right place at the right time. I also had to drive 3 hours south to Buda lol but i knew i would not find a better deal anywhere else.

Robo, I'm going to Austin for the weekend and just happened to come across a drifter in the area that is like new... Well, I'm driving an extra hour to get the yak. I haven't seen many drifter anglers for sale period and after reading about them, I want one. U can supposedly stand up in it and it's more dry than the older drifter. I'm not sure I would drive that far just to get a yak though.... Then again, at $250..... I just might

i am an impulse buyer though and through. in that situation, a family member drove me down there in their truck (i have a car)and did not take the cash i offered for gas. i also slept the whole way being as i work the night shift. it was like i woke up with a new super cheap kayak in my possession without all the boringness! i do love my kayak though, it was fate that brought us together. i knew as soon as i saw the listing it was meant to be mine <3
