Great smoked pulled pork homemade bbq sauce recipe #9083545 06/30/13 05:29 AM

I love to smoke meat and have settled on this recipe for homemade bbq sauce.

2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
3 Tbsp light brown sugar
2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
5 Tbsp sugar
1/2 Tbsp ground white pepper
1/2 Tbsp onion powder
1/2 Tbsp ground mustard
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp liquid smoke

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for an hour until thickened.


Also here is a great rib glaze put on ribs the last 30 min to 1 hr left on smoker.


1/3 cup honey
1/4 BBQ sauce
1/4 apple juice
1/8 cup cider vinegar
1/8 cup bourbon

Also have a mustard sauce if anyone is interested.

So is there that big of a difference between dark and light brown sugar?
