That's clearly a no brainer, those are also the ones that do not put 150+days a year on the lakes either like I have the last 20+ yrs. I use the "best gear" money can buy, doesnt mean I pay more and it makes it better. They will swear by Abu yet fish with Chinese hooks and brass swivels and kiss major sponsor @** Thats what happens when the internet gets you loaded on "a wagon" I don't think 95% are going to tell you they suck. Most here are abu for life and are quick to bad mouth anything else when they haven't even tried it. No wagons here. To fat to chase it down. Started using Abus over 20 years ago. Put as much time as I can on the water. Yes I do use china stuff. Yes I have been behind a Ming. And now it's in parts bag to fix other S*** reels that Breakdown. Never had the Pleasure (or most likely Misfortune) of owning a old Ming Yang. If I ever find one in my price range I will be sure to pick it up and give a full report on it.

And I would still not trad it for one of my Abu's!!!

Those reels look strangely similar to an Abu. They should at least run a close second to Abus.

Man, I sure love tacos, they are delicious....
And yes, I have a ton of chinese made reels that have never failed me. Point is, these are different times.
Ming Yang..... Hey if they are solid and you catch fish, well then, that is a good reel. Either way, it is fun to try out new stuff. No good getting stuck in a rut.

I was given a ming yang. Used it 3 times and gave it back, felt awesome till I had a decent fish on. I will be sticking to Abu's or my calcutta. But heck I am usually fishing spinning rigs and I am Cabelas Salt Striker all the way on those.

This reel you try to reel it in and the handle just turns. Once you push the button you can cast fine but in order to get it to retrieve you have to push the spool to the right in order to get the handle to engage the bail. I beat it on the side of the boat and it still dont reel. pos. it will fail but I have caught a 30 pound fish with it so I still use it. you just got to jack with it to get it to reel in.
