I couldn't wait after the long weekend & went out yesterday late afternoon. Hit a lot of main lake bp's but no luck. Went back into Panther creek where I was catching them after the spawn & marked fish They were on a bp in 13 fow, but they were only approx 6-7' deep. I caught 3 very quickly, but then a wake boat found me & proceed to see if they could swamp me. I gave up after they sent a wave 1' over the bow of my boat I could hear them laughing about it I was back out at 1st light this morning. The 1st spot I went to had some ditch pickes that were very eager to bite my jig. I didn't mind that much, but was wanting to replenish the crappie we used for our holiday fish fry - I supplied the fish to feed 28 hungry folks The 3rd spot I went to had what I was looking for - HUNGRY SLABS! I ended up with 9 nice ones as I had to leave early & clean the scum line off my boat. I didn't see or hear any wake boats or jet skis this morning. I guess they got their fix during the long weekend After only getting to use the lift in my boat house for a few weeks, the lack of rain & dropping water level has forced me to trailer my boat & put it in the shed. Those of you that have read some of my posts in the past know how I feel about all the pleasure boating traffic that has increased here on Cypress Springs. Mrs Tbox & I spent 2 afternoons last week looking at Lake Houses on Bob Sandlin. We hope to make a move in the next year or two!!!!!!!!!!! We intend to downsize on the house & get more deep water frontage

Looks like a crappie day to me....I read with dismay about that wake boat...good thing that didn't happen to me...I would have to give dumb folks like that a little present...

That evening they were where we were catching them back in Panther ontop of the bp. I was fixing to put a hurting on them, but the wakers spoiled that. I tend to over the top when confronting dumba$$ with this type of attitudes, it was just best for me to leave. Hence the desire to move before I blow up & do something very stupid!

Tbox, Remember that Sandlin has a much more drastic change in water level than Cypress. I have a place in KC and trailer to Sandlin because of the pleasure boats. Also that looks like a nice bunch of fish, good goin.

Nice fish and I am jealous as all get out of your boat! those are fine boats, perfect for what I'd like to only do. Just too expensive for me. Congrats though and keep posting the pics and ALWAYS include some of the boat,

Also that looks like a nice bunch of fish, good goin. I hear ya & don't want to jump the gun. We have done ALOT of work to our place & I'd really hate to get rid of it. Not a lot really left to get finished. I need to find me a fishing partner that can drive.

TBox, I share your pain. My boat has been on the trailer for most of the spring and all summer so far. Afraid it's not going to get any better till next spring, if then. We are approaching 5' low and waters edge is at the end of my boat house. But, I can't do anything about it. If you find a better situation, let me know, I could be convinced to move!
