The driver and the passangers on the boat had to be idiots... Not knowing one of your passangers fell off your boat... Really?

Drinking all day long, not to mention she is only 20 which would be under age. She is very lucky!

There are maybe 3 exposed stumps in that section of the lake, most within reach of shore. How did she manage to find one to cut herself on, yet never thought to hang onto it and rest?

ALCOHOL doesn't help a drunkard think rationally... 
The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

I don't think a drunkard could swim for 3 or 4 hours. Stupid for not wearing a life jacket yes. Stupid for being on a boat with drunks yes. But I doubt she herself was drunk.

"she admitted she was drinking..." that's what the reporter said. swimming in a circle and away from the bank for 3,4 hours? May be she was just under the influence of some... so she swim a bit slow? or she tried to swim the length of a creek channel instead of toward nearest shore?

Maybe the police arrested her for public intox because they saw her fall off the boat and that's where the cut came from and her folks paid the officer to agree with the story on tv.--LOL You know it really doesn't make sense she was swimming for 3 hours drunk in the dark. Maybe she is on the swim team or maybe she was swimming for three hours in 4 foot of water --LOL--

I knew a guy who was sober and drown in Hubbard after his canoe tipped. He was the only one out of 3 young people that were not wearing pfd's. So.....it is hard to believe a drunk girl swam around the ocean known as Hubbard for 3 hours!!!! Chick is lucky to be alive.
