Well, I have a good one..Went to a local lake, where the Game and Fish are always there in force. Had one of those days at work, AND I WAS GOING FISHING. Well, it wasn't the best idea, as I got my butt handed to me by Mother Nature, as winds(and my aluminum boat--Basstracker 175) blew me up on stump after stump, just a miserable outing. So finally after dusting off my ego, and rubbing my bruises, I headed in. Well, after not smelling a fish, I get to the landing, and 2 Wardens are working both landings. The young one waits till I'm straping up my boat, and starts asking if I caught anything, and I said emphatically "NO". He asks to check my livewell, and I said "Knock yourself out". Well, the carpet tolerances are so tight, that you can't open it from the ground, you have to stand over the livewell, and pop a hernia to get it open...So, he has to jump up in the boat to lift it up, and gives a smart arse response about how I was right...Then the unexpected happens. He jumps off the side of the boat, the "youngster", on the side where my rods are strapped, and a spinnerbait catches him mid-calf. Now , he has one leg suspended with a hook in his calf, bowing my strapped rod, and one on the ground.. Kid is hollering "push the button, push the button". So I get over there, and release the line and line-trick the hook out...He then went through every regulation, fire extinguisher, throw floatation, etc....guy was really looking to give me a ticket. Oh well, I was good, so I finished loading, and was leaving the landing complex, as I passed the 2 Wardens(one with a bloody sock), and I couldn't resist.. I pulled up and hollered, "I caught the big one today" . Alright, that's hilarious. You would think he's been in enough boats to keep an eye on the rods and lures in the boat.

How did he cite you for your wife for not having a license if she wasn't fishing?!?! Was she fishing and stopped and he possibly witnessed it from a distance. Yes, she did fish earlier and laid down after no luck, so it's likely he was watching from a distance.

Funny story. Doubtful though, as most would have waited to approach you until you were done fumbling around with your hands. He had to of been very close to hit him with the rod.. If it is true, I guess he learned a good lesson. Lol!

Josh_W- you may have started a thread of GW stories.
I was on Dam -B waterfowl hunting as I did every year when I was young. We were about at our limit when I turned to recover the last down bird then I heard the sound of an outboard heading my way. It could only be one person coming that close. Turned around to see two of them. The kid in the front was wearing ski goggles is was so cold. Upon approach he jumped out of the boat into our spread, however his hip boots caught the bow of the boat and he went head first in. He must have been under for 5 sec. He came up eyes wide open. They ran us through the ringer until the kid turned blue and had to leave.

Good looking Mexican GW on the Mexico side of Amistad, tight fittin green jeans and womaning a 50 cal. cannon on the front gunner deck; I hunted her down 3 times in one week just to get her to check me out and get in my boat.
Her, do you have a throw device. Me, I got a hurt foot it is in the front compartment. I enjoyed watching her dig around in there.
Her, do you have a fire ext.. Me, I believe it is in the same compartment. She dug and dug. Me, I guess it is in the other one.
Next day, I see the boat checking someone. I know there is a hump about 200 yards away so I quickly pull up on it and wait like a dog looking for a bone.
She checked me again. I guess she liked it.
Third day; she pulls up and says, hell it's you again and rumbles off setting those two big 300 Merks on fire. That thing will run for a big boat.

If your wife has a fishing license and you forgot to bring it, then I believe you should be able to get the citation dismissed by showing proof that she has a license at the time of the citation. Also for future references, Game Wardens can look up a person's DL# to check if he or she has a fishing license. Perhaps you can get it dismissed. Best of luck.
