This question is for the regulars on Hubbard. Do you generally catch and release all sandbass, keep only a few, or keep everthing legal? Not trying to judge anyone just curious, there are a lot of regulars on Hubbard that are very sucessful and I've noticed when I'm out on the lake that a lot of people throw there fish back.

Thanks

I throw most back unless I know of some co-workers or friends that want some fish, then I keep for them.

I am into the catch. I don't like cleaning fish, but I will keep fish if I am having a fish fry otherwise I throw them all back even the bleeders. If they don't live other species that flourish in the lake can have an easy meal. Some guys keep fish everytime they go and again that is ok with me as long as I don't have to clean them!!! All Hybrids are always released.

I haven't kept a Hybrid every since I learned they don't reproduce and no sandies in about as long. Its now all about the catch.

I never keep fish - unless it is a monster and goes on my wall. That has only happened once!

I throw back all Hybrids, and 95% of the sandies along with what ever else we catch. I only keep them if we need them for an event. It's all about the catching, not the cleaning.

12" or less typically goes back on the whites. If its a bleeder I'll keep it if legal. When I'm fishing alone I'll usually keep 10-12 fish for a few meals for me and the wife. Then I'll play catch and release. I NEVER cull since I pitch the critters into a box and not a live well.

I try and book several trips with Bombay throughout the year when my boys come to town and we get a limit each for the family fish for gatherings.

Hybrids, unless its a bleeding keeper, I throw them back when alone. If the wife or one of my boys are on the boat with me, I have to keep a few. They love them grilled on the half shell.

I always ask on the way out of the marina. If they want fish for the freezer it's their hard earned $ that's buying my filleting service smile we will keep anything legal

I keep fish whenever I'm told to bring home dinner. Like everyone else I hate cleaning them. I would rather call for pizza.

I'm 95% catch and release. I occasionally keep a deep hooked fish, or keep some if there is an event. I've cleaned my fair share of fish and especially don't care to do it in the heat.

I will keep sandies if 1. if I am in the mood to clean them and i will try not to keep a limit because of the work of cleaning 25 --LOL--
And 2. if i am in my own boat ( Most of the time ) because my live well keeps em alive until i put ice on them when i pull the boat out.

I don't like keepin hybrids on Hubbard because I would like to see them prosper like T-Wak but I will keep a hybrid on cooper or maybe t-wak smile
