I drifted Lavon today between 7am and 11am. I caught a 9, 7 1/4, 6 1/2, and thirteen eaters. The 9 and 3 smallest eaters were released. Drifted 30' to shallow water, but all fish were caught 26' and deeper so I started cutting my drifts short. Where is the thermocline? I marked a lot of fish and shad deep. I caught all fish on shad and chicken breast with Dead Red. One performed about as well as the other.

Sounds like you had a good day, thermocline is tough to locate unless you have a good graph that will show it, and even then it can be tough to notice, generally you will have to watch your graph and see where the baitfish and fish are holding at and start there. I still have a tough time when it comes to the thermocline so hopefully others with more experience will chime in.

You have to turn up the sensitivity real high to see it on sonar. I haven't seen a thermocline yet this year

I live over on 380 in Paloma Creek subdivision.
I am close enough, I need to get over there.......
Hey, The Bee Ready, Pro Angler shop is right there.

Lavon sounds like a good lake, I have heard many stories.....

Man, what a nice day. That is what you hope for, right?
