Where should I go to catch a few this coming weekend? I wouldn't mind fishing from the bank, or possibly a backseat or guided trip. All input welcomed.

Sorry, I should have clarified. It is Los Angeles. I will be about 40 miles inland.

My advice would be Castaic. North of L. A. on I 5. Not good for bank fishing. You need a boat. fish points and drop offs. They're all over. Only cover on that lake is rock, so the cover is the structure. Small plastic baits and lite line.

Sorry, I should have clarified. It is Los Angeles. I will be about 40 miles inland. Is that near Lake Falcon?

You can fish the forebay of Castaic lake, it has easy access to bank fishing.
