Good refresher. I bet a lot of people don't know this stuff, including fishermen.

...I had to take evasive action the other day (Fork) on a boat that was approaching and crossing from my port side. I came to expect that on every trip there. Almost had a head on at night a while back on fork cause a guy tried to put me on his starboard in the boat lane.

the boating safety course is available on-line for 20 bucks .. less than a spool of good line ..
learn neat things like "red/right/returning .

Some people need to have this as a sticker on their console.. the boating safety course is available on-line for 20 bucks .. less than a spool of good line ..learn neat things like "red/right/returning .

Most don't, which makes it dangerous to know... I've been trying to figure out how to say this ^^^^^^^^^^ I agree with you...if everyone knew the laws, then it would be safer, but when only half of us know them it can lead to trouble.

I'll admit I had no official Idea. However I have yet to hit another boat due to reckless driving or aggressive driving.. I usually will take the wake and let them speed up to avoid the wake.

Thanks for posting this Fouz! I would have no problem with requiring a boaters drivers license. Might save some lives.
