Pretty cool video however it wasn't fishing in Texas this time but thought I would share because it has some cool longnose gar fishing action and is in HD I'm not exactly sure how to embed the video but here is the link http://youtu.be/W6AVi8kOOBM

Haven't tried a circle hook but want to give it a go next time out. This set up is suspended shad on a pretty small j hook. Let it run 1-2 min them hit them with a strong hook set. Circle hook will take a little experimenting to get the timing down. Here is a pic of the bait and hook. Sorry it's not the clearest shot but does give a little bit more info on what I'm typing

Great video. I use in-line circles. Just reel in fast after they've started their second run after swallowing the bait. I consistently hook them in the corner of the mouth. I don't have the greatest hook up percentage, but I think it's fair trade for not gut hooking them or having to pull rope out of their mouths.

Nice fish. Sure wish I had that glove when I boated that big un I caught a week ago at Texoma. My hand is cut up.
