I have USAA and just added my boat on. They use Progressive but I had a claim paid it quickly with no grief and gave me a renewal decrease! I you have USAA call them TE service was great but most importantly when I needed them they paid the claim

I've had USAA for over 20 years now. Awesome bank. Having had to make any boat claims since they switched to progressive for water craft. Good to know they are good also.

Very Interesting. I've been with USAA since 1966. Damn that's 47 years!!! Never had a problem with car or house claims. I find the comment above very interesting. I just recently bought a new boat and already had Progressive insurance on a boat. It took me about 10 minutes on the phone to get new insurance and 5 minutes to receive the policy via email. All I had was serial numbers of the boat, motor and trailer..no proof of ownership, just a copy of the bill of sale paperwork. I was not asked for proof of ownership.

I had 3 cars with USAA and 2 homes, but my 3 boats are cheaper if I go with a Progressive agent. If I call USAA and get transferred I get one price and if I call Proggressive direct I get that price again. Go to my agent at the local boat dealership and saved $80 a year and I run max limits.
