I seem to lose a lot of plastics and jigs when fishing rip-rap. Is there a style of plastic/jig that is less prone to getting hung up in the rocks?

Try a dropshot. Weight gets hung, just pull it off and put another one on. No re-tying.

#1 rule for fishing rip-rap, have a lot of whatever type of baits you are fishing.
