I haven't used braid very long, and one day a friend that doesn't fish very much at all asked if it were re usable. I got to thinking since there is much less line memory than mono, would it be possible or has anybody tried taking braid from one reel and using it on another? Not that I want to, but I'm just curious.

You can also spool it off and flip it around when it gets too faded. I do both all the time.

I just tie the end of the line to another reel and wind it onto the second reel from the first

I have spools of 65 lb Power Pro braid line that have been on and off reels forever. When some of the sections that I have been using for casting frogs or Buzz Baits get too short I use them on my flipping and pitching set-ups. As far as fading goes you can use a green or black water proof pen and re-color the faded area of line if you want. One of the most successful tournament fisherman at Falcon told me he preferred faded Power Pro to the new stuff for pitching there because of the lighter color. To each his own......
