Lake Lewisville Catfishing Report - July 2, 2013

Just because the weather is nice, doesn't mean the fish are biting. Had a bunch of old high school buddies make the trek all the way up from Ennis and one transplant from Houston Tuesday morning for some summer time blues on Lewisville. The fish kept me on my toes and had to get a bit creative to make them bite. No problem finding fish, but had a hard time getting the better ones to hit. They still caught plenty for a nice little fish fry. Got to catch up on some lost time and relive some old memories as well. Rod had the big fish of the morning with a fiesty 15 lb blue that measured inside of the slot. We let that one go after a couple of photos. 18 keepers made their way back to the cleaning table. Fresh shad with Dead Red was our bait of choice on this trip.
