i was in waste deep water on the south shoreline of east matagorda bay.....never saw him....i missed almost 5 months of work. when it hit me it hit the bone and glanced off and kept going so that it almost went through my leg it was bad really bad just thankful the water i was in wasnt stagnant couldve been even worse

We caught a 3-1/2' wide one off Matagorda Island (POC). We were in the boat fishing the 2nd gut in the surf. We actually caught 3 total. Also, had 3 fish chopped in half on the way to the boat.

Pulled a six footer right next to the surf side jetty last august , and a five footer at sargent last weekend , in between the swimmers too .Neutered them and back in they went, They both had barbs as long as a fillet knife. The next three months are prime time for them
