Hi Fellow Anglers,
Got some friends in town this weekend and I want to take them to Grapevine for some sandies. Has anyone seen them schooling much at all? We'll be there by 6am to 11am before the weekend warriors show up. Hopefully I hear some encouraging news. Take care and fish on! Thank you
Guy

Not a lot of topwater action yet. When I have seen them they don't stay up long. Saw them last Sunday by the dam and for about a minute in Mc Phearson Slough. They should start getting good preety quick with the hot weather

We caught a few small ones last Sunday. Most of the bite was 8-10 am in the coves. They were breaking the water in spurts but no full on boiling water yet. We were throwing spoons.

use small baits right now. 1/4 oz baits will produce more sandies because of the hatch.
