Jimmy and I tried to launch yesterday on Hubbard Creek and was a no go. One angler had his 20i stuck on the end of the "new" ramp where it dropped off on the end. I had to pull him out with my truck. We tried to launch Jimmy's SX200 off the old ramp and it was a no go. Sure sad to drive away from HC on a beautiful morning and not be able to fish.

That is really sad....this low water is killing us here in N Tex,,still can't use the Park ramps at Arrowhead..I saw that Tommy Morton (Media Bass) is having a tourny at HC on the 14th and he says they are going to work on that new ramp soon..Hope it gets worked out..

There is no way I'd even try to put a single axle in on those ramps. Somebody is fixing to get a trailer/boat tore up. If anyone wants another opinion contact Robin at Sandy Creek Marina at HC

Lots of people launched today. If you hug the east edge of the new ramp it is ok. The ramp broke on that corner when they pushed it in and it has very little drop off. Hopefully they dump some gravel on the drop of this next week. Sandy Creek was launching boats today to test run. One of them was a huge ski boat.

If three of us had trouble yesterday there will be many more that will get in to trouble and tear something up. Yes, Sandy Creek launches there. They launched my boat this week when it was in for service. My prop is now dinged up from the rocks by the ramp. You want to take a risk with your equipment go ahead. But don't tell folks the ramp is in good condition when it isn't . Hopefully Johnny and the City will get things fixed up soon.

I did not say it was in good condition. But I did explain if you launch where you could get off without tearing up your trailer. It is not hard to tell by looking that it is not in good condition. The lake authority has not closed it, I was just trying to help people that do come out.
