Found this huge snake while trimming my bush... that's what she said! Ok it was about a foot long. Burrowing into a pile of leaves near the bushes. Tried to karate chop it out of reflex and it ran away. Looks like a Black Mambanacondathon. But I could be wrong...

Smooth Earth Snake Yep definitely a Smooth Earth Snake. Probably the most species in the DFW area. I cant catch a couple in the yard each day simply doing yard work.

The Rough Earth Snake (virginia striatula) is a great little snake for your gardens!
