I would fish the Gulf surf....EARLY DAYLIGHT morning and late afternoon-evening too dark.Use fresh dead cut mullet or live mullet,LIVE baby stingrays or FRESH dead,or LIVE or fresh dead Whiting.
Wade out to second sandbar---cast far to third sand bar ..
walk line and rod back in to beach.

Spend the few bucks and head over to St.Joes. Walk the jetty about 3/4 way out and youll see whats left of a shack built( we called it the shark shack). It may or may not be standing since i havent been there in a few months.Catch you some whiting and put out fresh cut whiting on the surf side. We have caught several in the 4-6' range right there throughout the years.
Good Luck

We did not put it there but we have added to it or rebuilt parts of it throughout the years.I' m sure it goes back further than 2003.Several groups have used it throughout the years.

I hate to admit it, but I can remember parts of it from the 60's. Built and rebuilt since then.

I've heard stories from some of the old salts of fishing for sharks over there since way back. One guy told me he used to swim the channel with his gear on a surfboard. I really enjoy just sitting out there listening to some of them guys
