I hopefully will be there Saturday if I dont go to Canyon, Dunlap or LBJ, I know the fish are suspended, timber close to the river and creek channels.they are somewhat scattered but there is still some good fish there. A good freind of mine is doing pretty well down there.

The thing I have learned about Choke over the last 15 years, when the lake drops, the fish scatter and suspend to the timber you may have a hard time reaching, I know I said scatter and they do but if you do catch one in a area you can usually catch a few if you bang that area.

Good luck

fish the timber on that big point directly across from the dam. I used to go to Choke and fish that point the entire weekend. Fish it on the shallow side and on the channel side, just tossing various baits in the timber and into the structure on the bottom.

From what I have been hearing, dynamite and hand grenades are about the best things you can use right now.

Doesn't even have to be watermelon red for either of those baits. laugh

anywhere from 8 to 20 feet. You have to trigger those guys in to coming off that limb to hit your bait but they are there. fish something weedless that can create that reaction strike and you will catch a few, Hopefully more. I know my freind has been doing well down there. Hopefully I am there this Saturday, If the Boss goes with me then I know she would rather fight the jet skiers than a puny ol gator. lol
