What lake close to the DFW area has lots of pads and grass.

It is not close, but Athens has both. Athens has about 3 differnt types of grass, hydrilla, some kind of eel grass that looks like johnson grass and even some millfoil.
Lilly pads by the boat ramp, back north of the bridge, several other pockets and east of the damn behind the island.
And oh yes, It has a bunch of bass!
Cleburne use to have lilly pads.

Theres more grass and lilly pads on Tawakoni than Fork!

Cleburne had pads last year, lake is so low this year trying to find a place to go fish them, thanks

Not close but might be worth your drive - Rayburn has plenty of each all over the north end.
