Met up with Chris (Striper Express) early Friday morning and he gave me some tips as well as some slabs that have been working for him.
Fished around islands for a little while, then decided to head to the dam. Chris indicated a lot of big fish had been caught up that direction.
Made the long run from Mill Creek to about the dam. There was a zillion boats around Ross's house, so figured every one was into them. We stopped and fished about 30 minutes with no bites. With all the boats there, I didn't see anyone else catching them, so I decided we would move again.
Idling away from the crowd, my phone rang. It was Chris, and he was into the fish. Of course, I'm almost 20 miles away. Go figure. Looked at girlfriend and told her to hang on. Made the long run and came around the corner and there were boats everywhere. Didn't see Chris, so I called him. He saw me come in and told me to stop and start fishing, because the fish were heading my direction. Boom, instantly got into fish. Had a blast for about and hour or so, then the bite just quit. Moved around to another spot, but nothing.
We went over to Chris's dock to see how his clients had done that morning. I think he had 4 or 5 guys in the boat, and they had there limit. Had a few cold ones with Chris and his guys, and headed home. Had a good time. Girlfriend was happy, because she got to catch some striper.
It was fun catching up with Chris. We're going to be booking with him this fall, taking some clients on a new project we are building. Chris went over and above helping me get on some fish, and it was much appreciated.

Sorry for the long read.
