Excellent idea of using a collapsible clothes hamper as a stripping basket as posted here .

Now then, to use one in a boat would require weight so it doesn't make like a seagull and fly away. The weight would need to be compact and snag-free.

Yep, and you can even drill it and put some stiff mono through the holes to help eliminate tangling. OR, just do like Dr. Dusty and pile it all over the floor!!!
