Excellent idea of using a collapsible clothes hamper as a stripping basket as posted here .

Now then, to use one in a boat would require weight so it doesn't make like a seagull and fly away. The weight would need to be compact and snag-free.

Over to you oh best and brightest of TFF, you shade tree engineering geniuses.

piece o cake...I cut a piece of 3/4 plywood same diameter as basket & sat it inside, Hurricane Katrina or Carter couldn't make it fly

Yep, and you can even drill it and put some stiff mono through the holes to help eliminate tangling. OR, just do like Dr. Dusty and pile it all over the floor!!! stir

a flat barbell weight of the 10lb variety. Flat means no snag.

now that it wont move, I give ya my opinion why it should

ya gonna fish or strip line into a basket ?

baskets are a pain in the a$$, catching everything on deck is too, but they probably equal out in the long run
