Does anyone have a fishing report of Lake LBJ? Heading down there next week and bringing the boat. Any information on bass, cats, crappie will help.

Thanks

I used to fish lbj all the time. Fish a zoom watermelon red trick worm rigged wacky style weightless.

There are several places. Go to sandy creek and fish the points in the first cove to the right as you enter sandy creek. There is one dock that has a luck of the Irish sign on it that's in about 7-9 ft of water. Fish it VERY slow let the wacky worm fall to the bottom and drag it through the dock poles.

Then go up the lake to where station creek merges with the Colorado river. Where the solo red boat dock sits at the mouth of the channel. Fish the point opposite of that inside the station creek along the old boat docks in tht shallow water. Fish it slow.

Also if the water is muddy that red boat dock at station creek is probably the best catfish channel in the entire lake. I caught an 67 pounder there trot lining.

Then turn up the up the Colorado river from station creek and drive about 300 yards until you see the big 2 story rock house on the point of a main lake creek cove. Fish the entire point. Then, one of the best spots in the lake are the docks that surround the man made channel on the left side of this creek. As you drive in the cove just look left and you will see a very small man made channel. Fish each dock pole on each side of this channel. When I fished there I would literally drop my wacky worm down right on top the pole and hold it next to the pole for several minutes. Caught a 10.7 there.
