how old is your boat? if its over 6 years old they will depreciate it by 85%. I broke my lower unit they paid $1300 on a $4600 bill, not really worth it

I currently have them and I am about to switch. A buddy told me they gave one of his customers $300 toward a $2500 lower unit

They dropped my claim and I was stuck with a cracked hull and a 3500$ bill.

It's 2004 Stratos. I just this day checked and they will pay for ENTIRE lower unit minus my $50 deductible or any other/all damages up to $11k! Did just upgrade my personal effects, i.e., tackle, to $3k from $500. Total cost to me- $224 a year! Sounds pretty good. I questioned them intensely. how old is your boat? if its over 6 years old they will depreciate it by 85%. I broke my lower unit they paid $1300 on a $4600 bill, not really worth it

UPDATE: Just found out, the sales department at Seaworthy and the Claims department sing TWO DIFFERENT TUNES!!! oh yeah BTW, there IS a depreciation on almost everything on/in my boat! I was told just he opposite by sales! I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO!! I WILL drop SeaWorthy and GEICO is going to get an earful as they have my care and home insurance and up until NOW my boat insurance!! I will consider looking elsewhere for EVERYTHING - I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO
