I'm stationed at fort hood and haven't gone fishing and I've been her for almost 3 years! Never been cat fishing ever, I'm used to trout fishing up north. Anyone can help me with catching a catfish? Where to go, what rigging to use.... Everything. Thanks!

I agree that this has good information to get you started, the best way is to find you a partner or someone who knows the area that can give you tips of where they have been catching them. If you are going to go out and try it yourself i would recommend early in the morning or late in the evening with a slip cork and good punch bait. This should help you locate if cats are in the area because if they are you will start catching them pretty fast. Once you have located an area then you can modify your rigs and bait to catch the larger ones if you choose to do so. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
