What is the story on Sand Bass on Ray Roberts, haven't fish this lake for a while and grand kids are in town and was wondering about getting them on some.

As out of the norm as this sounds, from 11am-3pm all along the front of the damn (particularly) towards the west end I have been seeing pods of sandies pushing bait to the surface. But late evenings have been really slow for me for the past couple of weeks.

It has been a couple years since I fished rayrob for sandies but we used to catch lots of fish in the west arm of the lake south of the loan oak bridge. SOmetimes they would be at the bridge and other times they would be 2 miles south on the big hump.. If you were looking at a map the hump or flat is two miles south of that bridge and on the western side of the waterbody. Hope that makes sense.
