I ketched a few with one of lanes baits ...
I think the white hot ....it started out ..white hot
the first timber we hit had small fish .....
and wuz only 13 or so feet deep ...
now we ketched fair there ....
bit I am a mover and shaker ....
and not enough sizeable fish in that area for me ....
we did educate quite few small ones oer that area ...

heck I even give em lessonz on how to avoid ....
even gittin klose to my jig .....ROFLMBO ....
that bone head braid let me feel a whisper ....
that's a hook set in my book ....
of kourse I think it wuz just passin by ....
it wasn't lookin for trouble ...
just an innocent bystander ...

wel we moved really fast ....bass guys look like cat guyz compared to me ....

we managed a few keep fish in 2 separate areas a timber
13 to 17 deep and then nada .....
time to roll ....
I know a 21 22 spot I kawl "loopeez tree "....
only one or 2 folks git this or know it ...
its an always kinda spot to ketch a krappie ....
an sometimes they iz ...BIG
and that's exactly where a few nice fish came from today

on bone head 12 lb yella braid wit a 12 inch 6lb stren leader

it was a tuff day sir , you didn't miss much , the bite was off in a terrible way as it has been on several lakes recently ....
smaller fish in abundance and larger fish very finicky ...
the graph pictures show them , but getting them to take
that's another story ....
I hear its the moon
I hear its the bait
grasshoppers/fry/etc.
I hear a lot of things
I have not come up with a recipe for a cure just yet
I so should have went out for a rematch this morning

thank you but I must admit getting em to actually take a bait was extremely difficult and the lake reports I am getting are all saying the same thing .
now I am sure some lakes have a good bite
and some people are probably ketchn well
but my post depicts what is actually going on in reeel time to me and a quite few other anglers on numerous lakes .
I don't quite understand the lack of biting this time of year and fish with eggs within the last 2 weeks ?
it is almost like a post spawn thing in july ?
this year is alot different than last year and I must say we are ketchn ALOT less than last year this time in comparison in my opinion

Fish with eggs? You saying that fish I gave you was full of eggs and not full of shad?

no clue ....I didn't keep/klean them
but fish cleaned from several places in the last 2 weeks I know have had eggs in them ....
and look at the tail on that big sow fish ?
I have no idea why they would have eggs still in these water temps and never saw crappie this late in the year like this
but I think this mite help explain the scattered fish awl over the map thing ....13 to 22 feet ?
some on the bottom ?
some suspended over nothing off the timber ?
I don't know why for sure but I think its a combination of like 10 things working against us at a time right now
