Hey guys. My motor bounces pretty hard when lowering. Does this mean I need to add fluid or bleed? If so how to? 97 Johnson 150. Thanks for your help.

Run it all up a couple of times. They are know for this, a check valve intermittently sticking. Sometimes will even have bleed down with the jerk and suddenly start working right. Some of these motors have a up limit switch that you have to bypass.

Yep, that seemed to do it, at least for now. You sir rock. I don't think this is the first time you've helped me. I really appreciate it. Love that Johnson. She just runs year after year & nothing like the smell of a 2 stroke first thing in the morning
