Used to be a guide out of Axtons back in the mid 90s that would scuba dive every week and would come up with all kinds of stuff he would find, made a good sum selling it, cant remember his name though.

two hats, by the time I turned back they were gone.
one 15 pound anchor, laid it the back deck just for a
minute, forgot it was there, and plop it was over the side...

Thinking about how many lures, and odds and ends down there, is like imagining winning the lottery. It's just hard to conceive. Imagine if that thing ever dried up. I bet you could do good with a big magnet and some scuba gear.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

I'm never surprised at what is on the Fork bottom. My personal best "catch" was a 15' section anchor rope that had 8 lures in various forms of decay attached. The really fun part was when a boat transiting through the area stopped and started fishing "with us" when they saw my "rope" bent rod. So much rope so many new friends.

Set the hook on a fish last weekend and the rod got yanked right out on my hands , about an hour later and 30 yards away a friend in another boat caught it when his weight on his C-rig got tangle in the balled up line. The weight bead swivel and leader was still all there on my rod just the hook bait and fish were gone.
