I usually fish the evenings/nights on waxahachie lake! Anyone know where to find shad there in the evenings? I fish from the bank, no boat! Thanks

I haven't been there in quite some time, but when I did, I normally found the at an around the middle ramp on the lake. Maybe Steve will chime in, he's been more recently and frequently.

I think all the freshwater blacktips ate them!!! rolfmao I have always caught mine at the ramp by the dam early in the morning.Do not know if they would be there in the evening or not if the light is on you might have a chance at night.

The only time I have done well at the boat ramps by the dam is right at dark because of the light there, Just can't always throw a net there cause usually someone is fishing from the bench.
The middle boat ramp and each side of it is usually good.
I have my best luck at the park on the most west end of the lake.
Standing on that ramp and to the left along that rocky shore all the way to the point.
I bank fished that lake for years until the last three so I feel your frustration sometimes. Many times I was only able to pull up perch for bait but I love me a perchhead for bait anyway.
Since I have gotten a boat I have found that many times on the west end area later in the day they just move out to deeper water so if you can get out there a bit it should increase your chances there.
I get out there sometimes twice a week and sometimes its a couple weeks apart.
If ya want PM me how I would recognize you and if I see you I'll get you off the bank sometime.
If we don't irritate each other too much we may be able to catch some fish.
A bit later I'll PM you with some special info not for the public.
(Nothing about the sharks, thats a whole 'nother thing!)
