That's what happened to me today rolfmao
I got tired of waiting for the wind to die & headed to the south main lake shore line where I had found a laydown that wasn't all the way down & has a brush pile at the base. When I 1st graphed it, it was covered in white specks & I just knew they had to be crappie! When I got there, it was grand - no wind, set my trolling motor on 1 & little bumps every so often kept me there.
I threw all my usual baits with no success, small bumps & slack line, but nothing there when I set the hook bang
I remembered reading last night to go small for the times when the bite is tough, so I dug thru my boxes & found some mini-Slab Bandits that somebody hmmm sent me. THANKS TO YOU
They were an off yellow in color & I dipped the tail in Lime Spike-It. Man, I thought, it this don't catch fish, nothing will!!!!!! cheers

The jig didn't settle to the bottom before I felt a tick & the line bowed up - YEP - FISH ON bouncy

No sooner than I lowered the little jewel back down, THUMP

And again!

Within a few more minutes.........
Now about this time I was thinking, "I could learn to like this" rolfmao If I had too rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao
Sometime around here, Jigum called me to help me figure out how to capture screen shots & then save them to a SD card. I got hot & sweaty while we were searching menu options, but Jigum got me lined out & now I can do it in the dark with my eyes closed flehan
Back to fishing I went

I found a small hand tied jig bout the same color - Game On

Now, I'm a pretty apt student & one thing that I've learned here is that if you want to have a real fishin adventure, you have to catch a turtle ................
Mission accomplished thumb That rascal hit it like a 3# sow!

By this time, the floor of my boat & my trolling motor control was burning my bare feet & I had a good mess to clean, so I quit & saved my back to hit another new spot in the AM loco_2
Ended up cleaning 10 over 11", smaller ones were released to fight another day!

It was also my 2nd trip out testing your braided line. I filled 3 more reels yesterday, now I have 2 with the yellow & 2 with the orange. I'm convinced this is the best braid I've ever used & I've used most brands, coming from a LMB background. It's slick, very castable, no stretch which makes it very sensitive & no memory what so ever! It will cast in a stiff wind & doesn't wrap up on the end of your rod like most braids. I will be a repeat customer & highly recommend it to anybody that wants to try braid or is a current braid user!!!!I didn't ever think I woukld use a colored line, but it sure helps notice those subtle hits, when they just lift the bait up, which happened several times today. The water here is clear enough that I had to use a flouro leader.

KEEP IN MIND, I am fairly smart tooo...SO, I figure anyone that is trying to DETERMINE the best way "MOUNT" the NET for CONVENIENCE/READINESS is gonna USE the sucker CONSTANTLY, braid or no braid...HMMM, that gives me an idea, maybe we should start a NO NET, BRAID ONLY working mans crappie tournament...If you get caught using a leader or a net you are disqualified and have to go SIT on the ROCKS at the dam for 2 hours....
