 On the road to Destin, FL (? places to go ?)

So I have my first tripped planned to Florida. I have never driven past the Shreveport area. Are there any places in Destin, Mobile, etc that I should stop at?
I will be joined by my wife and 6yr old daughter. I already have a trip planned to fish while I am there but what are some good attractions, places to eat (on the road and in Destin), and where is the best place to buy fresh seafood especially shrimp?

I enjoyed Goatfeathers restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
its a small drive from Destin, FL but pretty good food and atmosphere.

Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. Harborwalk in Destin. Watch the boats come in from fishing.

I also in Pensicola, I really liked the restaurant called Hemingway's.

Wintzles original oyster bar in Mobile. It's on Daufin st downtown. Sit at the oyster bar. If your lucky Willie will be your shucker.
