That was freshwater. At canyon lake. It was mostly thread fin shad with some ghost minnows mixed in. Every time I go out I get bait to collect in the lights. I just carry a dip net and catch them as I need for the hook.

It was insane. Headed back out to canyon this weekend to make it happen agian.
Hopefully the bait and crappie cooperate.

Shoot, id like to have a gallon of them shad frozen for jug-line bait! Wish I lived near C.L.!

The lake is good. Still 8-10' low water levels. But water clarity is great. Fishing has been good. It's my home lake and I'm getting to no it better. I'm headed up river this Friday that's were I got the big shad ball that i posted above. So we will see how it goes.
