I would like to talk to some guides, as well as regular fishermen, on lake ray hubbard in regards to enforcement issues on the lakes and creeks. Our main concern is illegal fishing , in and around the lake and creeks of hubbard. I'm a Sergeant with the Rowlett Police Department, and we are in the process of putting together some enforcement action plan to try and clean up the lake.Although Dallas has the lake, theres a real strong possibility that they will be letting us have the enforcement of the lake. If you would like to talk to me about concerns and illegal activities, PM me and we can talk over the phone. I've lived on this lake and fished this lake since i was a kid, so i want to try and do everything i can to help this lake thrive. Thanks!

Hey Oscar,

I think you and I may have a mutual friend that likes hot steel!

I did the damascus demonstration at the last gathering...

Glad to hear you folks are gonna try and assist with the unpleasant activities in the lake area.

Thanks Oscar, I have fished this lake for 40 years. Anything I can do to help let me know. I see people keeping illegal fish all the time and boaters running wrecklessly across the lake all the time.

A suggestion would be to post a phone number we can call when this is occuring to report these activities.

Just checking licenses will run off most of the riffraff! That alone will clean up tons of trash that comes into the lake from Rowlett creek. Sergeant Cantu hope you will join us at the next RHSA meeting.

Dallas police had there boats in while back( rockwall marine) I talked with about this very thing they know about what's going on comes down to man power with them.

Anytime you want see illegal stuff on ray hubbard let me know I'll let you ride with me we'll go up the river the bank people leave trash and lots of it anything and everything they catch they keep doesn't matter legal are not they don't care.

if somebody wants to run the lake they should take the repairs and upgrades at the boat ramps also.the bouys for safe boating should be looked at also.it shouldn't be all about catching somebody doing something, the wardens can help with that.thats my 2 cents,on whatever city runs it.

Officer Cantu, Welcome aboard. Night time Jet Skiers. I was within 50 to 60 feet of a Jet Skier one nite a few months ago. I was leaving Harbor Bay going to east bridge of 30. I heard it, could not see it. Til it crossed my bow. Liteless as they all are. Could have been deadly, for some one.

Thank You, for what ever help we Sportsmen and women can recieve.

I would like to see the 100 foot rule enforced. Everytime i have my boat out and am stopped fishing I get buzzed by someone in some kind of water craft way less than 100 feet. Last time it was more like 20 feet in a boat show at robertsons park and the guy was hollering " TOO MANY BOATS" and going full speed

If you want to make a dent in illegal fishing just come to Rowlett creek during the sand bass run. You could just sit in the parking lots at the bike park and fireweel and hand out fines and confiscate gear all day long. An even bigger problem at the creek is the TRASH. Don't know how to monitor that but it is a major problem that ends up in Hubbard every year.
