How about a design with hobie-type pedals in the floor where you can stand and "walk" to your next fishing spot - a low effort stair-stepper on water.

And then the "polers" would have something to complain about.

I love that idea. Like a manual trolling motor. I actually discussed this idea with one of the manufactures at last years Anglers Pro Tackle show. In my mind it would be separate from the normal pedals and would only be for one foot. Kinda like a bike tire pump. Also I'd like to see a pedal system where the prop is in the back of the kayak and the steering is controlled by turning the prop left or right. It would probably cost $5k in the end but it would be awesome.
The kayak in the pic as Joe said looks like a redesigned mariner to me. The front hatch has a dome shape like the current one and the bottom is not flat enough to be a Slayer. It looks like the seat is similar to the Slayer which would be great!

I like it.

I wonder how difficult it would be to incorporate the Jog-a-dog?

I've always wanted to take my dog yakking and now I have even more motivation.......

I believe its a new Slayer Propel. You can see the letters SL behind him on the stern. I think a new Mariner will be coming out too soon, but something more like the PA12. At least thats what I hope. You can also see the new camo colors in the background. I am waiting and going to put a deposit down this week at ACK for the first black/red/gray Slayer 14.5 they get.

*sigh*

Damn it, they really need to invent a sarcasm font.

I noticed the new red camo color too. It looked sharp. I really like the Slayer 14.5 but will be waiting to demo the Slayer Propel when it arrives.

I just bought a PA12 after selling my 2010 Mariner, so I need another paddle craft for the coast. Im going to get the 14.5 and then maybe another pedal craft in two years. Im a serial kayak buyer, lol.
