Has anyone night fished Hubbard for Hybrids? 102 degrees Saturday does not sound exciting. Anyone using live bait?

Night fished stripers at Texoma last year and did great. I travel over Hubbard a lot at night and I regularly see many fishing from I30. I would be interested in giving this a try if I had someone to go with.

Long time no talk.

Used to be night fisherman many years ago. Best way to get hibbies (not full proof at all) at night is use green light and wait for bait to show under lights. Hibs, if there will be outside light.. Put lighest jighead on a 4 inch glow shad and cast past lights and let fall on a tight line. Your bigger fish will be outside light and can be finicky but fun when you catch them .

Night fishing can be a meat haul.

A great memory I have is one night me and my good bud were on Lake Georgetown and we were catching sandies on shad. We hhad a contest too see who could catch the most on the same shad piece thatt was left. I think I won with 12 on 1 piece of shad before it was gone. Fun times.

Last year about this time of year a couple of fishermen from A dock at Harbor Bay had been catching very nice hybrids at night, with live bait by the Dam off the rocks.

Hmmmm do I sense a night time rally? Im in!!!

I was talking to Jeff Craft today and we decided the early bite was off because of the full moon. The Hybrids we think are feeding early morning 2-4 am because they could see the shad with a full moon. If someone got out real early and was using live bait they may have a better chance of catching fish.

Remember this is just 2 old guys talking, we haven't seen 2am since we were teenagers,sorry Jeff.

Rhodonna wont let you night fish anymore since you told me the last time you did that, your motor stalled and you and your kids didnt come home until the morning and she was worried sick!!!

Here's my recipe for night fishing:
Full or bright moon
Clear skies
Some wind

Get those 3 things and then go fish as usual. Just a bit shallower.

Gene I have a cast net, me and VIP Utubed how to throw it one day while on the water!! It was hilariously terrible!! Needles to say #noshadwereharmed
