I'm impressed that you got the net up and over the TM & rod holders !
Been a awhile, almsot 4 years since the surgery's that crippled my right arm and shoulder since I threw one but at 50 cents a Salty up here it's time I tried again, so I guess my 7'ers are all dried out and need a good soaking in fabric softener. NO CAMERA's alowed for sure...something about looking like a monkey and a football..

casting in 3 ft deep water helps, I have poor luck catching shad in open deep water, even when the graph shows them.

just so yall know you can throw up to 14ft diameter. Texas law does not say anything about radius. Panel nets usually have a radius that is half the diameter but funnel nets usually have diameter less than twice the radius.

I've NEVER put that lead line in my mouth. I know alot of people do, but not me!

Yes it is
And, I agree wink

The thing that I like about it the most is that the fabric lays down in your hand. The monofilimant of other nets will not lay flat and is too "puffy". Using those cheaper nets, I can't throw anything over 5ft. Just can't get the net to work like I need it to.

I like them but the dragon head swivel is hard to remove to repair without ruining it. Needs to be tougher IMHO.

Never had any problems with mine. Easy on and easy off. Sounds like you got a hold of one with some bad threads or something.

I had the same problem with the first joyfish I had. I broke a line and wanted to replace it and couldn't get the dragon head swivel loose. Since then that net has been torn some more and is trashed now. I have gotten 2 bait busters since and have not tried the DHS on either of them yet. Hopefully I don't have the same problem again.

No but I am very hard on my nets. There is a little tab inside the "cap" part that has threads on it. While screwing it in after a repair i cant help but break it rendering it almost useless thereafter. I will say this. The guy that makes theses nets sent me a free dragonhead swivel and a free replacement cap! So he does stand behind his stuff. If your a casual user you shouldnt have any problems.

Great design but just for me anyways needs to be made of tougher plastic. Im gunna try to lube the threads next time it happens. Im not bad talking these nets.
