Live long enough and all sorts of bad things will happen...its NOT the bad stuff that DEFINES a person, it is HOW they RECOVER and OVERCOME that bad stuff that DEFINES THEM...

My suggestion, discuss the buck problem with your buddy....see if he has a problem doing a skull mount on his prize. Then take him hunting next year and try to get him a bigger one!...to help atone for the problem.

Also, you need to take a small break from the casa duties, go catch some more crappie...I am sure you can get some TFF'ers on line to help fill the freezer...If you really CAN'T get on the water...I probably can spare some fish...for such a good cause...maybe some of the other guys will contribute some future catches your way.

Need to look at that freezer, see if it is out or just got unplugged...

Well I have already told Dwayne about deer , he is always weclome on my lease and hunt and i am gonna ask him about a skull mount! I will try to check in for a trip or two in the back seat! If I can get away from big project!

Even if you can't get away just tell Dwayne to call me and I will get him some fishing time and maybe we can help you get that freezer full...I am sure Dwayne is the forgiving type...cause Stuff Happens...

I feel your pain, brother, the same thing happened to me last year. We had an old side-by-side fridge that started freezing on the refrigerator side, so I used it as one big freezer. It got unplugged somehow with my 147" 10 pt skull and cape and my grandsons complete, quartered, first-ever buck in it. I found out by seeing blood running across my driveway (the fridge was on the carport).

I've been there it sucks...

Are you sure it was the freezer and not the GFI Breaker that tripped??

I swapped out the GFI that my freezer is plugged into in the garage.

When the boys were little they didn't close freezer door but I caught it in time.

When Hurricane Rita came to visit Orange TX we were out of power for 2 weeks. That is a lot of spoiled food for a town of 17,000 plus the county of 80,000. Most folks taped them shut and hauled them to the dump, but We cleaned ours and put them back in service. Insurance paid for the food.

That's RAW Dude! Sorry about your loss. I had a buck in a buddy's freezer & it went out. He set the head out & something toted it off
