Last week I posted a request for help to find some catfish on Lake Fork. Several of you responded but Seth Vanover a Lake Fork guide responded to me and said that he has been putting clients on fish all week, so give him a call Monday when we get to the lake. On Monday afternoon I called Seth. Not only did he tell me the depth and areas to fish, he also offered to let me and my family fish his baited holes if we weren't catching fish.

We baited out a hole on Monday night, but due to just settling in for the first day of our family reunion, we only fished for an hour - 16 keepers. We got up the next day and fished our spots - 61 keepers. Wednesday morning - 58 keepers. In short order we had enough fish for the big family reunion fish fry. I took a couple of the younger generation out yesterday afternoon (so they could say they contributed) and caught 20 more keepers in the heat of the day.

I just wanted to let everyone know - the Lake Fork channel cat population is in good shape (with a few less after this week) - and that if you need a guide on Lake Fork - please call Seth - even though I was using my own boat this time - he obviously knows where the fish are - and he is obviously a good guy with a good heart.

Good report ! My wife and I love the layout of the lake great lodging and food but we never caught many fish could you share some of your info. deep, shallow, timber , or lilly pads. We would like to go again and give it a try.
