Had a trip today w/ Mike Callahan (Gator Kid) and Mike Wallace (Chato) and it turned out strange. Mike has been telling me for a while now about the 10 pounder he is still looking for and said he hoped today was the day. Well we made the first two stops and they missed a few fish on light bites and I looked at my watch and told them we had to go and be somewhere at 9:00. We pulled up at the third spot and told them to take out their dropshot rods.I wasn't going to fish but they insisted I did. Said it didn't matter who caught them they just wanted to see fish caught. Mike breaks off two big fish and caught a slot and then I catch a 9.01 24 3/4' long.Chato catches a few weigh fish and in the next 15 min. I catch a 10.15 24 3/4' long, Chato netting one and then Mike netting the DD. Mike was fishing right beside me the whole time. They caught several more fish but just didn't get the giants. I think they are convinced now that drop shotting dosn't just catch little fish. I feel real bad that he still hasn't got his DD yet. But it was fun and great trip and their a couple of great guys! I have him fishing SLOWER now and his time will come soon!

Alls I can say is Eddie a great teacher he showed. Us how to present the dropshot the correct way. I had one of the best days I had on fork in long time it was great taking this knowledge I learned today and being able too apply it another day . Like Eddie said my dd fish is just few casts away thanks Eddie for a tremendous day on fork .

Well Gator how slow is slow? I know I have a tendency to fish too fast with all of my soft plastics.
