Looking for a few hot spots around the Little Elm area...mostly bass fishing and crappie every now and then.

Thanks,

Good luck on pond fishing. Years ago we had TONS of ponds there but now they are houses. The city pond in Oak Point is pretty good still.

FYI tried fishing Tannery Pond (oak point city pond) thick vegetation goes almost as far as you can cast pretty much all the way around the pond. Might be good with a bass blister but walking the banks proved to be impossible fishing. Just thought that may help not to waste your time. If you hear of any good places let me know as well. I'm from Aubrey and fish the area as much as possible.

i agree tannery is hard to fish this time of year bc of the vegetation.

Adam O I fished Warren Park yesterday I'm Frisco and it proved to be worth the drive caught a very nice solid 6# fish within 10 min of being there. Caught it on a Texas rigged watermelon red senko. I will be going back. Also for crappie fishing ponds there is the north lake park pond in Denton I've heard has some nice size crappie in it. I haven't crappie fished it but have caught some decent sized bass and catfish only problem I found when fishing for the catfish was the amount of turtles. Overall a very good fishing pond.

I fished there last weekend at Warren in the morning. Caught a few 2-3 lb's on the north side by the cat tails!

We'll have to meet at a local pond and see if we can't tear them up!

You might check the regs on Tannery...I think that is only for Cross Oaks Ranch residents. I was told of people getting tickets from Oak Point PD if they didn't live there.

I think that was when. HOA owned the pond. From what I understand it is now community fishing. Just too much hydrilla to fish it.

Hey Adam, go to the other side (southwest corner and west bank). Lots of green submerged grass. 2 hours before sunset. Throw something chartruese. Roadrunner, etc. The bass come in chasing the perch out of the grass. Fun to watch. My daughter and I have been throwing weightless flukes (when the wind is not howling)with the tails dipped in chartruese dye. Her biggest this year was a 6lb bass. She also hooked and lost a big catfish.
