caught so many I lost count funny thing is didnt see a whole lot of other fish being caught. There are thousands of tiny wild rainbows everywhere you will see them dart after your fly. Caught three browns in spillway creek as well only 5 in or so. But caught a lot of quality fish including one that looked like a cut bow it is pictured saw the red on jaw flash when it jumped idk where that came from lol. All in all an amazing trip.

A big tungsten hares ear with a size 16 metallic purple tungsten pheasant tail most fish were on the pheasant tail but bigger fish were taking the big hares ear. They were Both flies that David Cole announced for half off at Cabela's the other day lol. I already put them to use

i really think that purple on the phesant tail will be lights out on sunny days. Looks like the reflection of the shell casing on the actual nymphs to me.

What, no smallies? smile

Happy birthday, man. It looks like you had a great time. Thanks for letting us vicariously tag along, especially since we didn't have to stay up all night.
