We are going to allow anglers who wish to enter the $1,000 trail to prefish and on this weekend due to the fact we had already scheduled the V&M Cyclone Fall Championship date on Rayburn. We could not move this Championship up due to Thanksgiving and we could not move the $1,000 tournament back due to our first Rayburn tournament for the BNB 2014 Spring schedule which always starts in December due to Christmas. However, in all future tournaments for the $1,000 entry fee tournaments we are planning on a 12 day off limits, beginning 12 days out from the weekend of the tournament which is a Monday). The official practice days will be Thursday and Friday before the tournament.

We are having a meeting with the anglers who are helping us get the $1,000 trail together next week. At this meeting we will be finalizing the rules, lakes, schedules and we will be putting an advisory board together comprised of anglers who will assist us in shaping the future of this trail.

Our new website for this trail should be completed within the next 3 weeks. The website will have many more details about these tournaments.

The word got out about our $1,000 tournament plans before we had finalized all the details. We are very pleased with all the interest and, while we have completed most of the logistics involved, we had planned to be able to lay out the complete program in our new website by mid July.

Be interesting to see how many of the "Top 100 Anglers in Texas" show up for this. I think that post should be revisited lol

This will bring some big sticks if its on some good lakes. My only reservation would be stepping up the controls on cheaters. That kind of money will bring out the worst in people and a lie detector won't stop it. Other than that, this should be "the" tourney to be in. Would like to see some potential payouts. There's a big difference between 30 and 50k.

$30k - $50k was just a first place example based on 100 and 150 teams. We will post everything after our next meeting this next week.

I have settled on Texas Elite Team Trail. I don't have the money or the skills to fish though. But a very cool idea BLT.

I have been seeing all these suggested names so I figure once y'all get it rolling and have a pick the name contest, who ever gets the name picked gets some of there first entry fee paid for. maybe a name would be something like the BLT Big Stick Trail, ok well that's not that good of a name, guess I will be donating yet again, lol, seriously, I truly hope it is a big success for you guys, it is a big commitment and there will be a lot of eyes on it but seeing how good of a job they have done with there trails already, I feel like this deal is in pretty good hands.

The funny thing is 99.9999% these people insisting on this rule and that rule won't show up and fish any of these tournaments. But they will post on here and tell you how it should be....

That is the truth.

We are taking everyone's ideas into consideration, and will be working with the board of anglers to determine the best set of rules for everyone. There are some rules that are just common sense, but there are others that will need to be discussed at our next meeting. We will get all of the info posted as soon as we can.

There will be a limit on the number of entries (not determined, yet), but anyone will be able to enter this tournament.
