What's the average cost of having an impeller replaced on a 90 HP Yamaha and any suggestion in the FT Worth area.

Youtube is your friend. A few basic tools and an hour of your time and you can do it yourself for about $50.00.

for a shop to do it you are looking at around 2 hours of labor and what the parts are. Kit is around 80 bucks. I could do mine in less than an hour.

Not on 35. Unless you go mid week. Friday and Sunday afternoons really stink

We get customers from San Antonio and Dallas on a regular bases and normally do their work on Saturday WHILE THEY WAIT. Saturday seems like the best day to drive I 35. Last Sat. we did a full service on a Yamaha powered center console and the owner was back on the road by 1:00. This Sat. we are doing a WHILE YOU WAIT re power with a new 150 xs for a fellow from Dallas. The drive is an added effort but it's better than your boat sitting in the sun for a week or two waiting to get worked on.

It is not that hard. I did it for the first time about a month ago on a 90 Yamaha. watch Youtube videos and take pics as you go so you know what goes where if you have a problem. I bought the whole rubuild kit that comes with all gaskets and impeller for around $40-50.

Hardest part for me was getting the new impeller back in the housing. I almost gave up.

Just had mine done at Service Marine in Emory for a lil over $100 on my 90 HP Merc.

Buddy had one done on a 150 Merc. not too long ago in the Tyler area. I think he said it was around 235.00. I called a dealer up here and asked about the same motor and he said it would be 125 to 150 at the most. Check around.
