Brings to mind..a recent snake story
A buddy and I were fishing lake Sam Rayburn for big bluegills with crickets.The crickets had got loose and were chirping in the bottom in the boat and all over..We are under several large willow trees
in the water..We are catching the gills..then from the trees a big snake- like the one in the picture- drops down on me and lands on my shoulders and head just laying on me..I said IIIIIIIIIIIIIII----F&^%#ing snake!
$%^&^%%^$^! My buddy said p^%%&*y ! Without thinking and second breath..I reached up and just grabbed the snake on me and flung it on my buddy and it wrapped around his chest and arm...You should have seen the look on his face!!He let out the loudest girly squeal I ever heard in my life.!I almost fell in the water laughing at him,and me!he fell to the bottom of the boat with the snake! The snake was heading out of the boat on his own into the water..I said to him...and you call me a p$%$##%y! We both just laughed..When we got back to the dock another boat was pulling in that was gill fishing close to us in the area..The woman on board said to us..did ya'll hear that bigfoot squeal! I said- yes we did ..it was him..he found a snake..She said ..well your friend screams like my grand daughter!I could not stop laughing!Sorry Mark...Had to tell it!

That is a venomous snake. Look at his head. That is a water moccasin. White stripe on the side of the head indicates it is a water moccasin. Head wider than the neck is a venomous snake. Diamond back water snake doesn'thave a white stripe on the side of its head. That snake in the picture will put the hurt on you!

Crack kills. This snake bit my friend in the photo, several times. It's exactly what I stated, Nerodia rhombifer. Just do a simple google search for Nerodia.
